All of the trails are maintained by club members as a volunteer service. Money collected from club dues and fund raisers are used for fuel, equipment registrations, repairs, insurance for equipment, groomers and trail masters, and other items such as rentals, etc. If the Ridge Riders did not maintain the trail system and had a rapport with the local landowners, there would be NO snowmobiling here. If you are a snowmobiler or plan to snowmobile, and you have not yet done so, please consider joining a club this year. The State of Maine has considered mandatory club membership with snowmobile registration.
